Georgia Falls in Overtime to Virginia, 82-73

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Despite 27 points from sophomore forward Mia Woolfolk, the No. 7 seed Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team lost an overtime battle against No. 10 seed Virginia, 82-73, Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.Â

*Georgia led by as many as eight points in the fourth quarter, but Virginia mounted a furious comeback and outscored the Lady Bulldogs 11-2 in the overtime period to win the game.Â
* Woolfolk's 27 points are the most for a Georgia player in a tournament game since Jasmine James scored 27 in 2010.Â
* Junior guard Rylie Theuerkauf scored 22 points, marking the first time Georgia has had two 20-point scorers in a tournament game since 2010.Â
* In addition to Woolfolk and Theuerkauf, Savannah Henderson added a career-high 11 points.Â
