Whitney Law's diary

WOW! We just escaped a close one with MTSU. We won by five in overtime but it definitely wasn't pretty. We did some great things but also let down mentally a few times. With each game and practice we are working to get better. At this point, a win is a win and we'll take it. So far we are 2-0 and that isn't bad for a team with 7 freshman and 2 seniors.

Hi, my name is Whitney Law. I'm a freshman from Littleton, Colorado and I'm spending my first Thanksgiving away from my family. I'm disappointed that I won't be eating my mom's famous gravy and dressing, with mashed potatoes and baked beans (I always got fussed at by my family because I only pick out the hot dog weenies and I don't eat the beans). Nevertheless, I will still miss being at home, eating and joking around with my mom, dad, and brother. Thankfully, I get to spend this Thanksgiving with Coach Landers and some of my teammates. I'm also excited that my boyfriend is flying in from Colorado to spend Thanksgiving with me. My teammates and I are planning to cook a big Thanksgiving feast. I'm pretty sure it won't taste as good as mom's but with great cooks like Ebony and Tawana it might come pretty close. I have to be careful not to eat too much though. I have a feeling we are gonna have some pretty tough practices, two on Friday and two on Saturday.

Even though I will miss Thanksgiving with my family, I feel very blessed to be here at Georgia surrounded by great teammates, a wonderful coaching staff, and some awesome fans! Go Dawgs!
