ATHENS, Ga. ---- The University of Georgia volleyball team (9-6, 3-4 SEC) won its third consecutive match Sunday afternoon, defeating the Ole Miss Rebels (5-12, 1-6 SEC) in three games (30-19, 30-23, 31-29) before a crowd of 552 at the Ramsey Center. For Georgia it was the third consecutive match in which it won in straight games. "This is what we did Friday night (against Mississippi State)," said Georgia coach Mary Buczek. "Our defensive effort was good that night as we played as a team, and I could see that same confidence in today's match." The Bulldogs proved their power as five players registered double digits in kills, with one reaching a career high. Sophomore Jessica Boller tied her career high with a total of 13 kills for the match. In addition, sophomore Luresa Forsythe (11), senior Kristine Keese (14), senior Stacy Buerger (18), and senior Erin Gornes (11) contributed 54 of the Bulldogs' final tally of 69 kills for the match. Not only did the Bulldogs out hit the Rebels (.296-.154) but they out dug them as well (71-60).
