Pam Gauld joined the Georgia Basketball staff in May of 2004 and is currently the Program Specialist.
Gauld has been active within the Athens community since moving to the area in 1997. She volunteers at the UGA Catholic Center, as well as with events such as Relay for Life, Coaches vs. Cancer and Athens Regional Hospital’s “In Her Shoes.” Gauld helps coordinate the Catholic Center’s football parking for UGA game days, the church’s largest single fund raiser.
Previously, Gauld served as the Catholic Center’s college student liaison. She also worked with the Human Race, a 5K run each spring that supports many of the church’s outreach programs. For numerous years, she spent two weeks each summer at Camp St. Francis, a camp for underprivileged local youth at Sacred Heart Camp adjacent to Lake Hartwell.
Gauld is a native of Detroit, Mich., however, she and her husband John have lived in the South throughout their marriage. The couple lived in Bowling Green, Ky., and Nashville, Tenn., before moving to Oconee County outside Athens. John Gauld is a teacher at North Oconee High School.
Pam and John have three children: Patrick, a alumnus of both Georgia and Michigan State, who is a school psychologist in Chicago; Andrea, a Mercer graduate who is now an assistant professor in the School of Pharmacy at Notre Dame of Maryland University and also runs a family clinic in the Baltimore area; and Emily, a Georgia alumnus who is currently a doctoral student in German Studies at the University of Michigan.
