Karra Gentry

Karra Gentry joined the Georgia Sports Communications staff in July 2016 after serving as a graduate assistant. She is responsible for all media relations efforts for the Bulldog gymnastics and equestrian programs, and previously worked with the soccer team.
Gentry is one of the longest-tenured SIDs in the sport of equestrian and has served as the Vice Chair of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's Selection Committee for over four years. She has been with the team through two SEC Championship victories, four NCEA Reserve National Champion titles, and one NCEA National Champion crown.
Among other experiences, Gentry served as the media coordinator of the 2019 and 2021 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals and helped lead the media relations staff during the two-week NCAA tennis championships, which were held in Athens in the summer of 2017. Additionally, she has assisted the Southeastern Conference office at numerous championships.
As a graduate assistant, she served as the primary contact for equestrian and assisted with women’s basketball and baseball. While pursing her master’s degree at UGA, Gentry also served as a student-athlete mentor and a media assistant for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. She obtained her master’s in sport management in 2016.
Formerly Karra Logan and originally from Langhorne, Pa., she graduated from Rutgers University in 2012 with a degree in communication. She is married to Garhett Gentry of Flowery Branch, Ga.
