Emily Deitz joined the University of Georgia Athletic Association in July of 2005 as Associate Director of Promotions. She was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2013 and oversees the marketing and promotional efforts for all sports and postseason championships, oversees the spirit program and works with the collegiate licensing program. Deitz came to Georgia after three prior stops at major universities, working in the field of marketing. Deitz spent one year at as Director of Marketing at the University of Louisville, two years at the University of Florida, where she was Assistant Director of Marketing and two years at Auburn University as Assistant Director of Marketing. A 1998 alumnus of Western Kentucky University, she worked in the Western Kentucky University Athletic marketing office for two years. After graduating from WKU, Deitz joined the staff at the University of Florida as a marketing assistant and also earned her Master's of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
