Dixie Zamagias serves as the Assistant Director for Human Resources and Strategic Engagement at the University of Georgia, where she began in September 2023. In this role, she focuses on enhancing staff development, supporting HR initiatives, and aligning strategic engagement efforts within the Athletic Association.
Since joining the University of Georgia in 2018, Dixie has also worked in academic support, most recently as the academic counselor for baseball, gymnastics, and men’s swimming at the Rankin Smith Center for Student-Athletes.
Before her time at UGA, Dixie served as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Support Services at Towson University from 2014 to 2018. There, she worked with men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and gymnastics, serving in a dual role as both academic counselor and learning specialist. She also completed a graduate internship at North Carolina State University, supporting football, baseball, softball, and women’s soccer.
Dixie earned both her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and her master’s degree in higher education from the University of Southern Mississippi. A native of Batesville, Mississippi, she is married to Steve, and they have one daughter.
