Anna Randa

Anna Randa has served with the UGA Sports Medicine Department since 2002. She provided medical coverage for several teams throughout that time, including football, volleyball, and track & field / cross country. Her longest standing role was with the gymnastics team from 2006-2016. Her primary responsibilities were the day-to-day prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of injuries or illnesses that affect the student-athletes.
During the summer of 2016, Anna was named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and is currently serving as the administrator for the Stegeman Coliseum Athletic Training Room. She supervises the athletic trainers working with all Olympic sports and has several adjunct roles within the department, such as the mental health initiatives for student-athletes and coordinating medical coverage for major sporting events.
A native of Albany, GA, Anna received her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training / Sports Medicine from Valdosta State University in May 2002, followed by her master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Georgia in May 2005. During her graduate studies, she also trained to become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. Anna is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association and licensed by the Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers to practice in the field of Sports Medicine.
She is married to Jeff Randa, who works as the Director of Quality Implementation for Easter Seals North Georgia. The couple has two daughters, Skylar and Sadie Leigh, and one son, Pax.
