Amy Thomas currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director of Human Resources. She joined the Athletic Association in September 2018. Prior to her Athletics appointment, she worked on campus in various business and human resources roles since March 2002. In Thomas' current role, she is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Athletic Association’s human resources unit by establishing and implementing HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the Institution’s mission and strategic vision. Her position also provides managerial oversight for UGA branded camps and clinics that are managed as third-party operations by UGA Athletics personnel by ensuring proper recordkeeping and compliance. As well as assists with UGA Athletic Association’s inclusive excellence and strategic engagement efforts. A native of Madison County GA, Amy is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she received a M.Ed in Human Resources and Organizational Development. She also holds a BBA from American Intercontinental University. Amy is married to Sean Thomas and they have two children, Lexi and Connor. |
