Lauren Freeman currently serves as the Assistant Director of Business Operations for the University of Georgia Athletic Association. She is the primary contact for accounts payable and assists with financial reporting, budgeting, and risk management and insurance. She is also responsible for the execution of the UGA volleyball summer camp program.
Prior to joining the business office in 2017, Freeman served as Program Specialist for the UGA volleyball team from 2014-2017. She was responsible for the team’s budget, travel arrangements, gear distribution, alumni relations, and scheduling.
Freeman was chosen as the recipient of the University of Georgia Athletic Association’s Dewey Dean Employee of the Year award in 2018-19.
Freeman is actively involved with Women Leaders in College Sports (WLCS) and was selected as one of 90 women across the nation to attend the WLCS 2019 Institute for Administrative Advancement in Washington D.C.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Freeman earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Sport Management from the University of Georgia in December of 2014 and intends to graduate with her Master’s of Education degree in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development in December of 2019.
