Jill Zeller joined the University of Georgia athletic performance staff in July 2023 after serving the past two seasons as the Sports Performance Coach for San Diego Wave FC of the NWSL. Zeller helped the Wave finish third in their inaugural season, including a run to the NWSL semifinals.
Prior to joining the Wave, Zeller worked for four years as a strength and conditioning coach at USC, overseeing their women’s soccer, lacrosse, and beach volleyball teams. With the Trojans, she joined McAlpine, associate head coach Jason Lockhart, and assistant coach Sammy Towne in earning 2021 United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Staff of the Year honors. She also worked with USC’s 2021 NCAA champion beach volleyball team.
Before heading to USC, Zeller spent one year as the director of sports performance for the Wake Forest women’s basketball team. She also served as a strength and conditioning coach for Boston University and USA Hockey, while also interning with Northeastern University and Athletes’ Performance.
A native of Newton, Massachusetts, Zeller graduated from James Madison University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and from Boston University in 2014 with a master’s degree in Coaching Education.
