Awarded the 2025 Suzanne Yoculan “No Dream Too Big” Award… Competed in 11 consecutive meets on vault and floor and four times on bars before getting injured prior to regionals… Notched a season high 9.850 on vault at Missouri and 9.925 on floor against Oklahoma…Hit a career high 9.900 on bars against Oklahoma… Compiled an NQS of 9.810 on vault and 9.860 on floor… Averaged a 9.838 on bars… All scores on vault counted for the GymDogs… Competed on vault for Hungary in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games… Named to 2024-25 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
2024 // Sophomore (Nebraska)
Made a significant impact on the Huskers’ lineup in her sophomore season. She competed in every meet for the Big Red, including 10 straight in the all-around to conclude the year. She posted new career highs in every event – 9.900 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.900 on beam, 9.950 on floor and 39.350 in the all-around. Bácskay earned four event titles on the season, one in every event except bars. The Hungary native also qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics during the offseason, where she will represent her home country on vault.
2023 // Freshman (Nebraska)
Competed in four meets throughout her first season, making her Husker debut in the season opener against Arkansas (Jan. 7). The freshman recorded a personal best on beam, tallying a 9.800 against the Razorbacks. Bacskay recorded a season-best on vault (9.800) at Penn State. She added a personal best 9.700 on bars to help the Huskers to a first-place finish at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational (Jan. 15).
Before Nebraska
Bácskay is a Hungarian international elite gymnast. She competed for Team Hungary at the 2022 World Gymnastics Championships. Bácskay has competed at four European championships from 2018 to 2021. At the 2021 FIG World Challenge Cup Series, Bácskay claimed the vault title. She also competed at the 2021 World Gymnastics Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, qualifying for the vault and all-around finals, finishing fifth on vault and 21st in the all-around competition. In 2019, Bácskay competed at the Doha World Cup and in 2020 at the Szombathely World Challenge Cup, where she qualified to the vault, bars and beam finals. Bácskay is the 2021 national vault champion and the 2018 national floor champion. She competed in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games claiming the silver medal on vault.

Daughter of Barbara Abonyi and Zsolt Bácskay… Born on April 14, 2003… Majoring in Communications Studies… She has one younger sister, Kincso, and one younger brother, Zsomber.
