2017-18 Season Highlights
• In the Bulldogs’ lineup for 10 of 11 events, missing just the ANNIKA Intercollegiate.
• Finished the season with a 75.17 average over 29 rounds, with six par-or-better efforts.
• Shot a season-low 3-under 69 to open the PING/ASU Invitational. Also shot 69 earlier in the season in the final round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on a par-71 layout.
• Recorded a team-high four eagles to go along with 69 birdies.
• Led Georgia individually at both the Stanford Intercollegiate, where she tied for 12th, and the Gold Rush, where she and Rinko Mitsunaga both tied for third.
• Started the season with her best 54-hole of the year, a 3-over 219 at the Minnesota Invitational.
• Relatively consistent scoring efforts, with more than 40 percent of her tallies (12 of 29) falling between 72-75.

• Arrived at UGA ranked No. 100 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (August 2 edition).
• Won the 2017 Spanish Women’s Amateur Championship in impressive fashion, securing a seven-shot victory by shooting 9-under 279.
• Became the second Georgia golfer to win the Spanish Am, following Marta Silva Zamora in 2010.
• Also finished ninth and 17th in the 2015 and 2016 Spanish Women’s Amateurs, respectively.
• Tied for third at the 2017 Copa R.C.G Sotogrande – European Nations Championship
• Represented Spain at the 2016 and 2017 European Girls’ Team Championships. In 2016, tied for seventh in stroke play and posted a 4-2 record in match play to help Spain finish third in the team field. In 2017, tied for 33rd in stroke play and notched a 4-0 mark in match play as Spain finished sixth.
• Shot 147 in stroke play and then reached the second round of match play at the 2017 Ladies’ British Amateur before falling to eventual champion Leona Maguire in the round of 32.
• Tied for medalist honors at the 2016 Girls’ British Amateur and then reached the quarterfinals of the match play bracket.
• Also advanced to match play at the 2014 and 2015 Girls’ British Amateurs before dropping her first-round matchups both years.
• Finished as runner-up at the 2016 Annika Invitational Europe.
• Posted a top-20 finish at the 2017 European Ladies’ Amateur Championship, shooting 1-over 289 to tie for 17th.
• Helped lead Asturias to the team titles at the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 Spanish Interautonómico (Interstate) Championships, compiling a 10-5-2 record in match play over those years. In 2017, finished second in stroke play qualifying and recorded a 3-2 mark in match play, including a pair of wins over counterparts from Madrid in the championship match. In 2015, tied for 10th in stroke play and then posted a 3-1-2 record in match play. In 2014, notched a 4-2 record in match play.

• Born April, 19, 1999, Paula is the daughter of Luis Neira and Monica Garcia and intends to major in Accounting.
• Continues an impressive list of Spanish golfers to compete for Georgia. Carolina Andrade began that stretch from 2006-10. She was followed by Marta Silva Zamora (2008-12), Rocio Sanchez Lobato (2011-15), Isabel Silva Zamora (2012-16) and Harang Lee (2013-17).
• Recipient of the Women’s Golf Scholarship Endowment for the 2018-19 season.
