Paige Gearheart
Paige Gearheart is an associate athletic trainer who oversees the sports medicine coverage for the men's and women's swimming and diving program. She was a graduate assistant athletic trainer for swimming and diving from 2010-12, an intern athletic trainer from 2012-13, and has served in her current role since July of 2013. 

Gearheart's administrative duties include leading the athletic training internship hiring committee and apparel coordinator for all affiliates of the sports medicine program. She also assists with collaborative learning within the department and hiring for summer camp sports medicine coverage.

A native of Birmingham, Ala. Gearheart earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (with a minor in Nutrition) in 2010 from the University of Alabama. Gearheart added a Master of Science in Kinesiology from UGA in 2012. 

Gearheart has served as the sports medicine host at several events at Georgia, including the 2011 and 2015 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships and the 2014 and 2019 SEC Championships. She has traveled with the UGA and Athens Bulldog Swim Club members to the 2012 and 2016 USA Swimming Olympic Trials, the 2013 USA World Championship Trials and the 2014 USA National Championships. 

Gearheart was awarded the 2013-14 UGA Sports Nutrition Distinguished Partner Award for outstanding support of nutrition in the performance of the student-athlete. Her certifications include Certified Athletic Trainer (2010-present), American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR/AED (2008-present), Graston M1 (2010-present), Bcon (2016 – present), Myofascial Decompression Techniques Level 1 (2016 – present), Community Emergency Prep for Athletics (2017 – present), Corrective Exercise Specialist (2018 – present), and Performance Enhancement Specialization (2019 – present).

She is married to Ryan Gearheart, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Director at Georgia. The couple has two daughters, Peyton and Taylor.
