Started 14 of 16 appearances in the circle… Concluded with a 1.39 ERA in 75.1 innings worked… Went the distance in six games… Finished with an 11-4 record, tied for the most victories in the SEC and sixth-most in the country… 120 total strikeouts led the league by 18 and 14th nationally… 11.2 strikeouts per seven innings finished third in the SEC and ninth nationally… Held batters to a .148 batting average… Recorded a career-best 15 strikeouts against Eastern Illinois (2/28)… Tossed back-to-back seven-inning shutouts for the first time at Georgia since 2012 (vs. Eastern Illinois, 2/28; vs. Boston College, 2/29)… Combined with Amanda Ablan to no-hit Western Carolina (3/1)… Struck out 13 South Carolina hitters, the most in her career against an SEC opponent… Topped 10 strikeouts four times… Recipient of the Jimmy and Barbara Turner Athletic Scholarship… Served as a representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)… Graduated in May with a degree in Marketing… Member of the Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Finished the 2019 campaign with a 10-5 record and 2.37 ERA in the circle… Made 26 appearances including 16 starts for the Bulldogs… Pitched a total of 103.1 innings to lead the team… Pitched two complete-game shutouts and combined on five others… Earned three saves… Her 4.40 hits allowed per seven innings ranked 24th-best in the country and second in the SEC… Two saves in SEC play tied for fourth in the league… Struck out 94 opposing batters… Recorded the second-best opponent batting average (.171) in the SEC… Went the distance in six games… Combined with Amanda Ablan for a no-hitter, the 44th in Georgia softball history, against Western Illinois (3/11)… Pitched a complete-game, one-hitter at #14 Auburn (3/30), carrying a no-no into the seventh inning and losing the bid with one out left… Tossed a complete-game, one-hit shutout against Georgia Tech (4/17)… Tied a career-best 10 strikeouts against Elon (3/8)… Made two appearances in the NCAA Regional at Minnesota, finishing with a 1-1 record and 1.27 ERA in 11.0 innings pitched… Earned the win in 4.0 innings pitched, allowing only one hit to Drake (5/17) in the NCAA Regional… Struck out seven batters in 7.0 innings against #7 Minnesota (5/18) in the final game of the season… Named a member of the SEC Community Service Team… Named to Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll and J. Made 32 total appearances in the circle including 21 starts… Started nine of 11 appearances in SEC play… Concluded the season with a 12-5 record with a 2.26 ERA in 117.2 innings… Went 6-2 in conference play with a 2.17 ERA… Struck out 93, including a season-high eight, at #18 Kentucky (4/20) and Harvard (5/18, NCAA Regional)… Named SEC Pitcher of the Week on April 24 after going 2-0 in two complete games at #18 Kentucky, surrendering only one run in 14 innings… Pitched a six-inning complete-game shutout in the series finale at #7 Tennessee (4/2)… Shutout #18 Kentucky on the road (4/20) to open the series… Earned three wins in the circle during the NCAA Tournament including pitching an eight-inning complete-game against #10 Tennessee in the Super Regional (5/26)… Started both games of the WCWS including a complete-game against Florida State (6/2)… Named to SEC Honor Roll and J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Honor Roll.

2017    
Appeared in 26 games with 10 starts, posting a 3.32 ERA with a 6-6 record… Threw 76 innings with 45 runs on 83 hits… Struck out 64, including a season-high 10 in complete-game outing against Central Connecticut State… Posted two saves against Northern Kentucky and CCSU… Saw first start and collegiate appearance against East Carolina, throwing 2.1 innings with two hits and one run… Earned first win in run-rule victory over Presbyterian with three frames of work, allowing three hits and one run to go with three strikeouts… Notched win over Mississippi State, coming in for 2.2 innings of scoreless relief with three hits and two strikeouts… Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll, First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll, and the J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics Honor Roll.

High School    
Guided Stratford Academy to a championship, runner-up, Final Four, and Elite Eight showings in the state tournament as a pitcher and utility player for the Eagles… Became school’s career strikeout (633) and home run (17) leader… Garnered such awards as All-State and All-Region… School’s record holder in most strikeouts and home runs in a single season… Named the GHSA 7A Co-Player of the Year along with fellow classmate Kaylie Harding… Decorated basketball and track athlete for Stratford Academy… Active in many academic and community service organizations off the field.

Daughter of Jeff and Elizabeth Avant… Born Oct. 5, 1997… Has two sisters, Kayla and Caroline… Earned Bachelors degree in Marketing in May 2020… Now working toward Masters degree in Marketing Research … Both parents are graduates of Georgia’s Terry School of Business while both sisters graduated from Georgia… High school softball coach was former Atlanta Braves second baseman Jeff Treadway.
