Grossbaum comes to Athens from Southern Utah University, where he served as head coach of the men’s tennis program last season. He played collegiately at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan, and helped his team to one NCAA Division II Final Eight and one Final Four appearance. 

“Jamie and I are happy to welcome Raleigh to our program,” Diaz said. “He is a high-character individual who will be a tremendous mentor for our student-athletes. From playing college tennis to being a head coach himself, Raleigh has a vast knowledge of the game of tennis, and will be a big asset to our team.” 

Prior to his time at Southern Utah, Grossbaum served as an intern at GreatBase Tennis and was a teaching professional at the United States Tennis Association’s National Campus in Orlando, Florida. 

Grossbaum graduated from Ferris State in 2017 with bachelor’s degree in professional tennis management.
