 Jonathan Mitchell joined the Georgia staff as a graduate manager following his retirement from playing professionally for the last seven seasons. Mitchell played his last season in France.

Mitchell earned Mr. New York and Gatorade Player of the Year honors as a senior at Mt. Vernon High School in 2006. He led the Knights to two Class AA state titles and also passed Ben Gordon to becoming Mt. Vernon’s career scoring leader.

Mitchell was a reserve forward on Florida’s 2007 SEC and NCAA Championship squad. He played in 35 games as a sophomore with the Gators. Mitchell then transferred to Rutgers and started 64 games during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 campaigns. He averaged 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds as a junior. He scored a team-high 14.4 ppg and earned All-MET honors as a senior.

As a professional, Mitchell played in top leagues throughout Europe, including stints in Spain, Israel, France, Greece, Hungary and Iceland.

Mitchell earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Rutgers and is pursuing a master’s in sports management. He is married to the former Heidi Boon.
