Allison Henderson joined the Georgia Basketball staff as the program’s first Creative Services Coordinator in August 2018. She will oversee developing and implementing the Bulldogs’ social media strategy across all platforms and also will handle responsibilities pertaining to team travel, certain statistical analytics and on-campus recruiting efforts.

”Allison displays the energy, work ethic and creativity necessary to make an impact on our social media presence and in other facets,” head coach Tom Crean said. ”She has a wealth of desire to contribute to many different aspects of the administrative part of the program and that will be very helpful.”

Henderson has worked in various roles at Tulane prior to joining the Bulldogs. She served as a student manager for the men’s basketball program during her four years as an undergraduate, including two seasons as the head manager for the Green Wave. Henderson became the first female student manager to travel with the program and helped recruit, train and schedule 18 fellow student managers at Tulane.

In addition, Henderson spent the summers of 2015 and 2016 serving as the interim program coordinator while that full-time position was vacant. Within that role, she assisted with logistics and booking of staff travel during recruiting and also coordinated team communication and outreach efforts with fans and the local community. In addition, Henderson was Associate Camp Coordinator for all of Tulane men’s basketball’s team and individual camp sessions during both of the aforementioned summers.

Most recently, Henderson was a graduate assistant in equipment operations at Tulane during the 2017-18 academic year, working with the men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and beach volleyball programs. She assisted with the radio broadcasts of baseball games on the Tulane IMG Sports Network during the 2017 season.

Henderson gained additional experience as an intern for marketing and external operations at Butler University in her hometown of Indianapolis in 2014.

Henderson secured her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with majors in Caribbean history and international development from Tulane in 2017. She was pursuing a master’s in health & wellness management when she joined the UGA staff.
