Tersoo Uhaa (pronounced Tess-oh Oo-hah) was named assistant strength & conditioning coach for the University of Georgia football team in January 2020.
Before accepting his position in Athens, Uhaa worked in strength & conditioning for the Texas Tech men’s basketball program starting in May 2019.
Uhaa’s last stop before Texas Tech was at Tennessee State where he served on the strength & conditioning staff starting August 2016. After serving as the assistant coordinator for two seasons, Uhaa was promoted to Director of Strength & Conditioning in the spring of 2018.
Prior to his arrival in Nashville, Uhaa worked as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Arkansas State University where he assisted with all aspects of football training. The Red Wolves finished the 2016 season 8-5, including a win over Central Florida in the AutoNation Cure Bowl, after the summer training guided by Uhaa and the rest of the Arkansas State staff.
Uhaa was a standout running back at Furman University, garnering All-Southern Conference accolades three times in addition to being named to the All-Freshman team in his first season.
Upon graduation, the Stone Mountain, Ga., native went on to work as a weight training coach at Mount Pisgah Christian School in Georgia. Following that stint, Uhaa interned with the strength & conditioning program at Georgia Tech during the 2015-16 academic year.
Uhaa graduated from Furman University in 2012 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science.
