Jalen Harris joined the University of Georgia football program in August 2024 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Player Development, while also assisting with the wide receivers. I

In his current role, Harris supports the overall development of student-athletes both on and off the field and contributes to daily practice operations, film study and position-specific preparation.

Prior to his time at Georgia, the Montgomery, Ala., native served as the Wide Receivers Coach at UAB).  He led the receiver room and assisted in weekly game planning, practice organization and player development. Harris also worked as an Offensive Analyst – Tight Ends at UAB and previously spent time as a graduate assistant working with the special teams at the University of Arkansas.

Harris has gained NFL experience through the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, working with both the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons.  He assisted with scouting projects, offensive installations and worked directly with skill position groups during his fellowships.

A former tight end at Auburn University, Harris finished his playing career at the University of Colorado where he also earned his Master’s degree in Education.
