Jake Stroot joined the Georgia staff in the spring of 2017 as the director of football technology, following three years in a similar capacity at the University of Louisville.
A three-time winner of the Collegiate Sports Video Association Ultimate SAVVY Award for the best collegiate highlight video in the nation, Stroot oversees all video components for the Georgia football program.
Before joining the staff at Louisville, Stroot spent 15 years as the video coordinator at Appalachian State, where he directed all the video operations for the Mountaineers’ football program. He was responsible for the installation and design of a $1 million upgrade of the video technology in the ASU athletics complex.
While directing the video operations at his alma mater, Stroot was the Collegiate Sports Video Association At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year in 2009 and 2010. Most recently, he was named 2018 Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year.
Prior to taking over the video department, Stroot served as the school’s Distance Learning Services Manager from 2004-06, where he was responsible for the distance learning video teleconferencing center.
Stroot, a four-time member of the dean’s list, earned a communications degree with a minor in computer information systems from ASU in 2004.
Stroot is married to the former Ashleigh Rideout. The couple has three sons, Peyton, Remi and Beau, and a daughter, Aislyn.
