Angela Ellington was promoted to the Associate Director of Recruiting Operations in February 2022 after serving in a pair of different roles for Georgia’s football team dating back to August 2019.
Ellington (formerly Kirkpatrick) started her career with the University of Georgia Athletic Association as an Assistant Recruiting Coordinator in 2019. She was then promoted to On Campus Recruiting Coordinator in August 2020 before accepting her current position.
Ellington coordinates all official visits, which include booking travel, hotel, meeting and dining spaces and venues and creating individualized itineraries for each prospect and his family. She also assists with other recruiting events such as “junior days”, unofficial visits, special events and game day activities. Ellington’s role include cultivating relationships with potential student-athletes and their families while presenting to them all UGA has to offer.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native was the Director of On-Campus Recruiting at the University of North Carolina from 2017-19 before arriving in Athens. Ellington graduated from the University of Tennessee in May 2016 and worked for the Vols football program as a Recruiting Assistant from 2012-17.
Ellington is married to Dan Ellington and the couple have their first child due in April 2026.
