Phil Rauscher was promoted to Offensive Line Coach for the Bulldogs in January 2026 after serving the 2025 season as an offensive assistant with the line.
Rauscher helped guide an offense in 2025 that featured a new starting quarterback, only one lineman who had more than five starts the season before and without three of the team’s top four receiving targets from 2024. Georgia’s offense answered by averaging more than 32 points a game while toppling five top 20 teams. The Bulldogs won their second straight Southeastern Conference title and advanced to their second consecutive College Football Playoff quarterfinal. Georgia finished in the top 10 nationally in both Total First Downs (339, second in the SEC and fifth nationally) and Completion Percentage (69 percent, second in the SEC and 10th nationally).
Prior to his time in Athens, Rauscher spent the 2023-25 seasons as the Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line coach and run game coordinator. He worked in a variety of roles and mostly with the offensive line for the Denver Broncos (2015-17), Washington Redskins (2018-19) and Minnesota Vikings (2020-22) during a number of NFL seasons before his time in Jacksonville. During his tenure with the Vikings, Minnesota allowed the fifth-fewest sacks (30) in 2021 and RB Dalvin Cook went for 1,159 yards en route to Pro Bowl honors.
The Carlsbad, Calif., native also worked on the collegiate staffs for California Lutheran University (2014), University of Hawaii (2012-13), Utah (2011), Dixie State (2010) and his alma mater UCLA (2008-09) during his coaching career.
