High School: Finished fourth at the NCHSAA 4-A state meet in the 1600-meters...Ran on the third-place 4x400m relay team at the 4-A Midwest Regional meet as a sophomore...Personal-best times of 4:19 (1600m), 1:56 (800m), 9:26 (3200m) and 15:48 (5K)...Also swam at East Chapel Hill where he was part of the third-place 4x100m freestyle relay team at the 4-A Midwest Regional as a junior...Finished as an AP Scholar with Distinction.
