Zach Adams joined the UGA Athletic Association’s Sports Medicine staff in March 2021 as an associate athletic trainer. His primary responsibilities include prevention, immediate care, management, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the Georgia Baseball program.
In his five seasons with the Bulldog baseball program, Georgia has made three trips to the NCAA Tournament including serving as a regional host and national top eight seed in 2024 and 2025. Also, Georgia played host to an NCAA Super Regional in 2024. The Bulldogs have been a consensus top 10 ranked team the past two years under Ike Cousins head baseball coach Wes Johnson.
Before coming to Georgia, Adams spent eight years at the College of Charleston, where he oversaw the sports medicine coverage for the baseball team. Prior to working with the Cougars, Adams worked at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Ga., overseeing the medical care for their baseball team for two seasons.
A native of Cullman, Ala., Adams has been a certified athletic trainer since 2009. He graduated with a M.S. in Sport Management from Florida State University in 2011 and a B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of Alabama in 2009.
Adams is married to the former Jensine Jernigan of Powder Springs GA. Zach and Jensine have two children, Kennedy (5) and Emerson Kate (2).
