Football Gameday - Pregame Activities

Reed Plaza

Located on the north side of Sanford Stadium, this former alleyway was reconfigured in 2010 to provide two restroom facilities along with a new concessions building. In addition, the large plaza area offers both a place to congregate and a convenient east-west passageway. This outdoor area is made available to Student Affairs to utilize as programming space throughout the year. Reed Plaza inside the ticketed area and thus tickets are required to access.

Gillis Bridge

One of the most iconic views in college football is Sanford Stadium as seen from Gillis Bridge on Sanford Drive. Sanford Stadium's upper deck wraps around the North, South, and East sides leaving the West side open and fans on Gillis Bridge have a wonderful view of the 92,746 seat stadium. While still an active road, Gillis Bridge is closed to traffic on game days and connects gates 9 and 1 and thus tickets are required to walk on the bridge on game days.
