The final score was 26-7.                         1932 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          A 2-5-2 season is highlighted by a 33-12 win over Florida in Athens.                         1933 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          The Southeastern Conference is formed and Georgia is on its way to winning                        first conference title until the Bulldogs are upset by Auburn, 14-6. The                        Bulldogs closed the season with a 8-2-0 record, including a victory over                        Florida in the game that made Jacksonville the permanent site for this                        contest.                         1934 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          The Bulldogs produced three All-SEC players in John Brown (guard), John                        McKnight, (center), and George Chapman (fullback).                         1935 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          John Bond, co-captain, was considered Georgia's best quick- kicker of all                        time. During the game against N.C. State, Bond kicked nine times for an                        average of 44 yards. After the game, Wolfpack coach Ed Camp was quoted as                        saying that Bond "hung them on the moon".                         1936 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          Forrest "Spec"Towns wins the gold medal in the high hurdles at the Olympic                        Games in Berlin. He returned to Athens to cover punts for the                        Bulldogs.                                                   1937 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          Coach Mehre, in his last season at Georgia, led the Bulldogs to their                        eighth winning season during his ten year reign as head coach. His overall                        record was 59-34-6. Bill Hartman succeeds John Bond as kicker. While                        playing Tulane, Hartman kicked an 82 yard punt which stood as a Georgia                        record for many years.                         1938 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          Joel Hunt, former assistant coach at LSU, is named head coach. He was                        responsible for bringing Wallace Butts to Georgia as his assistant. Coach                        Hunt compiled a 5-4-1 record in his only season.                         1939 |                         Schedule |                         Letterwinners                          Wally Butts is named head coach. He assembled one of the greatest freshman                        teams in the history of Georgia which included halfback Frank Sinkwich.                                              |
