2017: Earned runner-up honors at the 5k WCU Festival thanks to a time of 15:30.99…Finished fourth at the 8k Bulldog SEC Preview after completing the course in 25:30.8 for fourth place…Was 40th (24:17) at the 8k Paul Short Run…Finished 107th to score for the Bulldogs at the 8k NCAA Pre-Nationals for 107th place…Was the second Georgia runner to cross the 8k SEC Championships finish line for 21st place (24:32.1)…Finished 36th (32:04.3) at the NCAA South Regional.
2016: Scored in all six of the meets in his first UGA season...In his Bulldog debut, finished fourth overall (third Bulldog finisher) with a time of 25:20.26 at the UGA Cross Country Invitational...Finished one spot behind Georgia’s leader, Bryan Kamau, to take seventh in the 8K Commodore Classic after running a 24:43.5...Was the second finisher at the 8K Paul Short Run with a 16th-place finish (23:59)...Finished as Georgia’s runner-up again in the 8K Crimson Classic with a time of 25:00.8 for 12th place...Was 22nd overall and second for the Bulldogs at the 8K SEC Championships after running a 24:58.9....Brought All-Region honors back to Athens with a 24th-place finish (21:15.6) at the 10K NCAA South Regional.
Furman (2014-16): Member of qualifying team for 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championships (team was 13th)...Won Southern Conference (SoCon) team titles in 2014-15...Named to 2014 SoCon Academic All-Conference squad...Earned All-Conference honors in cross during 2014-15 seasons...Named to SoCon 2014 All-Freshmen Team in cross and in track...Personal-best times of 14:17 (5000m), 8:16 (3000m), 24:21 (8K cross), 30:50 (10K cross) and 4:08 (mile).
High School (St. Pius X): Helped lead St. Pius to four GHSA 4-A state cross country championships (2010-13) and two track state titles (2013-14)...Captured two individual state cross titles (2012-13)...Won state track titles in both the 1600m and 3200m...Set St. Pius record in 5K (15:01)...Qualifier for 2013 Nike Cross Nationals...Named 2013 Georgia Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year...Also played on the St. Pius volleyball team for a year.
Personal: Born April 6, 1995...Son of Teresann Sprague and Steve Sprague...Parents ran for Team Adidas Michigan and brother, Trevor, ran at UGA after starting his career at College of Charleston...Majoring in Communications Studies.
