ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia basketball players Freddie Dilione V, Brady Dunlap and James Scott visited with the media on Tuesday (Sept. 29) to discuss the Bulldogs' pre-season practices to date.
All three are newcomers to the Georgia roster; however, they have strong connections before arriving on campus.
Dilione and Scott both are seniors from Fayetteville, N.C., who have been reunited in Athens after playing at Penn State and Ole Miss, respectively, last season.
Dunlap and Dilione knew each other at a younger age and played AAU basketball together in the third grade when Dunlap's father, Jeff, was an assistant coach at N.C. State.
Under head coach Mike White, Georgia has earned back-to-back bids to the last two NCAA Tournaments, just the fourth time in program history the Bulldogs have appeared in consecutive editions of March Madness. The Bulldogs also have reached the 20-win plateau in each of the past three campaigns, just the third time in they've done so in 121 seasons of competition.
