Muoneke Named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Georgia senior outside hitter Bianna Muoneke has been named the Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is Muoneke's second weekly conference award this season. She was the overall Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 14. It's the third time in her career that she's earned this award.
"Huge congrats to Bianna on another accomplishment, which is a complete byproduct of the work, drive, and commitment she puts in each and every day," Tom Black said. "She will only continue to get better."
The Cypress, Texas native matched her season best with 27 kills in Georgia's SEC opener against South Carolina on Wednesday, Sept. 23. She led the match with a season-best 30.5 points. She tallied six kills each in the second, third, fourth, and fifth sets. She hit .417 in the fourth as the Bulldogs forced a decisive fifth set, then hit .667 in the fifth (6 kills on 9 attempts, no errors) to lead Georgia to the five-set victory.
Muoneke's 27 kills tie her own mark for a season high for a Bulldog in 2026 and tied for seventh in kills in a five-set match in Georgia rally scoring history.
Nationally, Muoneke is eighth in the country with 5.24 points per set and ninth with 4.63 kills per set. She's second in the SEC in total and average kills, points, and attacks.
This is the fifth weekly award bestowed upon a Bulldog this season. Muoneke and Gigi Artiles have each won two awards and Chloe Elarton has won one.
Georgia (9-2, 1-0) is on a six-match win streak and is undefeated at Stegeman Coliseum at 6-0 this season. The Bulldogs host Arkansas and Oklahoma this Friday and Sunday at Stegeman to close a four-match homestand.
