Five Fast Facts
• Georgia is playing in the Schooner Fall Classic for the third time overall and second straight time in the tournament's 15-year history.
• Junior Sydney Givens is the tournament's co-defending individual champion. She shot a school-record 63 in the opening round and played the final five holes of the final round at 2-under to finish at 9-under.
• Sophomore Gabriella Albert led the Bulldogs in their season opener at the Cougar Classic last week, shooting 5-over 218.
• The Schooner Fall Classic was started by late country music star Toby Keith. An avid fan of college golf, Keith co-owned Belmar Golf Club and presented the team champion with a signed guitar each year until his death in 2024.
• The tournament continues in his honor and all proceeds benefitting the Toby Keith Foundation. The foundation's main program is the OK Kids Korral, a no-cost housing facility in Oklahoma City for children battling cancer and their families.

Head Coach Erika Brennan
On this weekend's tournament:
"Our backs against the wall, and it's time to fight. We need to play disciplined golf and trust our preparation. This golf course has opportunities but also plenty of places where we need to be conservative so patience will be rewarded. It's another great test, and we're looking forward to the opportunity to show what we're capable of."

Sydney Givens; Junior; Austin, Texas
On her school-record 63 at last year's Schooner Fall Classic:
"Honestly, I just think I was very calm throughout the whole tournament. I knew that my team was there for me. My parents were there. I knew God was on my side so no matter what happened, I would be OK. I was very present. I wasn't focused on the outcome but when I got to the scoring table, I was like 'Oh my goodness. I just shot 63!'

On her mindset entering this weekend:
"I think my biggest thing going into this weekend is managing expectations. I know I had a really great tournament there last season, but it's very hard to win the same tournament twice. So I'm trying to manage my expectations as well as I can and go out there and play free. No matter what happens, it's in God's hands. What ever happens, happens. I mean it would be nice to win again, but even more so as a team. I'm excited to go back out there and give it the best shot that I can."

Gabriella Albert; Sophomore; Delray Beach, Fla.
On her performance in the first tournament of the season:
"I was very happy with my play. I would say I didn't hit the ball my best, but it was my strategy and course management and short game that helped me put those rounds together. Coach 'D' (Associate head coach Dalton Stevens) and I worked very well together to manage where I was hitting it. Even though I wasn't hitting it my best, we still managed to make a pretty good rounds of it."

On what she's focused on since the last tournament:
"My irons. I've been working on a little more distance and I would say bringing that swing with a good level of confidence out to this weekend's tournament has been important to me. If I could take the swing that I've had one the range and bring it to the tournament with a little bit of confidence, I would be very happy with that."
