Four Traditions Named USA TODAY Sports Readers’ Choice Award Nominees

ATHENS, Ga. – Four Georgia football gameday traditions were named USA TODAY Sports Readers' Choice Award nominees, per a release on Monday from USA TODAY.
The University of Georgia fight song, 'Glory, Glory,' was nominated for Best Fight Song, Sanford Stadium is a nominee for Best College Football Stadium, 'Uga' is up for Best Mascot, and the Athens tailgate scene was included on the ballot for Best Tailgating Experience.
Voting for the USA TODAY Sports Readers' Choice Awards is open now and ends on August 17th at 11:59 a.m. ET. The top 10 winners, as ranked by the USA TODAY Sports readers, will be announced on August 26th at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Coach Kirby Smart and the 2026 Bulldogs open the season on Saturday, September 5th at home against Tennessee State. Kickoff is slated for 3:00 p.m. ET, and the home opener will air live on the SEC Network+. Georgia enters the 2026 season coming off a 12-2 SEC Championship campaign and berth in the College Football Playoff.
