Lopata Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

ATHENS, Ga. – Senior Anastasiia Lopata earned a spot on the 2026 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Individuals are nominated on behalf of each school and must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and compete in 75% of their team's scored competitions throughout the season.
 
A native of Kiev, Ukraine, Lopata holds a 3.59 GPA while majoring in finance. She has earned recognition on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in each of the last three seasons and was named a 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete. Lopata also earned Dean's List honors in Spring 2024 and Fall 2025.
 
On the court, Lopata posted a 6-3 record in SEC singles play during the 2025-26 season while compiling a 9-2 mark in conference doubles action. She secured three match-clinching victories in SEC play against Auburn, Texas A&M and Missouri en route to First Team All-SEC honors and SEC Player of the Week recognition on March 25.
 
Currently ranked No. 19 nationally in both singles and doubles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, Lopata reached season highs of No. 16 in singles and No. 9 in doubles. Her career accolades include 2025 NCAA All-Tournament Team honors, 2025 All-SEC First Team recognition, a runner-up finish at the 2024 NCAA Singles Championship, SEC All-Freshman Team honors and ITA Southeast Region Rookie of the Year recognition.
 
Away from the court, Lopata has participated in community service initiatives including Home Runs for Hometown Heroes at Foley Field benefiting the nonprofit organization Extra Special People, along with volunteering at Spooktacular events.
