No. 10-Seed Georgia Selected to Host 2026 NCAA Athens Regional

ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia Bulldog softball team was selected to host the 2026 NCAA Athens Regional as the 10th overall season from May 15-17 at the Jack Turner Stadium. It is the 14th NCAA Softball Regional to be played in Athens.
The No. 10-seeded Bulldogs will host Clemson, UNC Greensboro and the College of Charleston in the four-team, double-elimination style event, beginning on May 15. The tournament kicks off on Friday with a clash between Clemson and UNC Greensboro at 4:30 p.m. ET before Georgia battles Charleston at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Georgia's selection marks the third time under head coach Tony Baldwin's direction that the Bulldogs have hosted a regional.
More information on ticketing will be made available to the public when available. A total of 64 teams make up the complete 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament bracket with 16 regional host sites containing four teams each. The winner of each regional will advance to a three-game Super Regional the following weekend. All told, a total of eight teams will advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City at Devon Park from May 28 through June 5.
