The Golden Spikes Award Advisory Board will continue maintaining a rolling list of athletes throughout the season, allowing players to play themselves into consideration for the award before the announcement of the semifinalists on May 14. Currently, eight NCAA conferences are represented on the list with the Southeastern Conference leading with 16 players.

Fan voting will again play a part in the Golden Spikes Award in 2026 after the semifinalists have been announced. Baseball fans can vote for their favorite players on GoldenSpikesAward.com, beginning on May 14. The three finalists will be revealed on June 10, and the winner will be named on June 29 at 7:30 p.m. during a presentation on MLB Network.

Georgia's Charlie Condon became the first Bulldog in school history to win the Golden Spikes Award in 2024 after a record-setting season. Condon helped Georgia go 43-17 and advance to an NCAA Super Regional while leading the nation in five offensive categories.
