No. 6 Georgia Slated for NCAA Tempe Regional

ATHENS, Ga. – The 6th-seeded University of Georgia gymnastics team earned a berth into the NCAA postseason and will compete at the NCAA Tempe Regional held April 1-4 at Desert Financial Arena, the NCAA announced Monday.
The Tempe Regional will begin on Wednesday, April 1, with the first round featuring host Arizona State and Arizona at 5 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to the second round on Thursday, April 2.
Round two will feature two sessions. Session I will include No. 6 Georgia, No. 11 Michigan State, BYU, and Southern Utah at 4 p.m. ET. Session II will feature No. 3 Florida, No. 14 Cal, and Penn State, as well as the first-round winner at 10 p.m. ET.
The top two teams from each second-round session will advance to the Regional Final at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 4.
Every round of the regional will stream live on ESPN+.
The top two teams from the Regional Final will advance to the NCAA Championships on April 16 and 18 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 41 all-time regional appearances, Georgia has won 24 regional championships and finished second 12 times. Georgia last advanced to the NCAA Championship in 2019 through the Athens Regional with a score of 198.050.
Georgia ranks sixth in the Road to Nationals rankings. The GymDogs finished fifth at the SEC Championships in Tulsa last weekend with a 197.450, its best team score by the Bulldogs at an SEC Championships since 2004 (198.175), putting itself into a position for its best overall finish since 2019 (fourth place).
