Georgia Set To Compete In Briars Creek Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia women's golf team will tee off in its fourth tournament of the spring season on Monday when the Bulldogs open play at the Briars Creek Invitational on Jonh's Island, S.C.

Course: The Golf Club at Briars Creek
Yardage: Par 72; 6,152 Yards
Format: 54 holes (36 holes of stroke play on Monday & 18 on Tuesday)

Tee Times: Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Monday
Georgia Lineup: Karoline Tuttle, Trinity Beth, Gabriella Albert, Sydney Givens and Maria Eidhagen Harrouch. In addition, Celine Brovold Sanne will compete individually.
Tournament Field (15 schools): Boston College, Charleston, Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Miami (Fla.), Michigan State, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, No. 24 SMU and No. 12 UCF.

Five Fast Facts
• Georgia will be paired with SMU and Maryland for Monday's first and second rounds. The Bulldogs, Mustangs and Terrapins will tee off from holes Nos. 7-10, while Brovold Sanne will begin at No. 17.
• No. 12 UCF is the highest ranked team in the field, followed by No. 24 SMU. Georgia, which is currently ranked No. 56, is one of six schools ranked between No. 40-60.
Karoline Tuttle (t-5th) and Trinity Beth (t-9th) are coming off top-10 individual finishes at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, one of college golf's premier regular-season events which featured 18 of the nation's top-50 golfers. 
Celine Brovold Sanne will be making her spring debut. After playing in three of four fall events, she qualified for the lineup for the FAU Paradise Invitational to begin the 2026 calendar but did not compete in Boca Raton after coming down with the flu.
• Following the Briars Creek Invitational, the Bulldogs will wrap up their regular-season schedule by hosting the 53rd annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the UGA Golf Course on March 28-30.

On the team's preparation for the tournament:
"We've had a productive and fun spring break sharpening our skills and we're in a good place headed in to this event. The golf course is a wonderful test ,and we will need to stay patient and let the course come to us, especially with the anticipated weather challenges. This team prioritizes playing for one another, and the work they're doing at home is special. We're ready to get after it!"
