ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 13 Georgia Bulldogs defeated West Georgia, 8-0 (5 inn), on Tuesday night at the Jack Turner Stadium to move to 20-7 (1-2) on the season.

Fast Facts:

RHP Destin Howard started in the circle going 4.0 innings and surrendering just three hits. She tied her season-best in strikeouts with three to secure her second win of the season. LHP Ada Little entered in the top of the fifth inning and pitched the final frame.
Sophomore Bailey Lindemuth got the Bulldog offense off and running with an RBI-single to short in the bottom of the second inning. Emma Castorri and Delani Sullivan helped stretch the lead to 4-0 with a two-RBI single and an RBI-single, respectively, in the bottom of the third. Freshman Gabi Novickas blasted a two-run home run – her second shot of the season – in the fourth inning to give Georgia a 6-0 advantage.
Senior Jaydyn Goodwin was 3-4 on the day with two RBIs, two singles and a double including the game-sealing RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning.
No Bulldog struck out in the game for the third time this season.
West Georgia tallied three hits in the game. Starting pitcher Calli Hardison went 3.0 innings with seven hits, four earned run and a walk.
Georgia is now 1-0 against West Georgia, and under Baldwin, the Bulldogs improve to 10-2 in all-time series openers.

"I'm just proud of everyone. Of course, Destin [Howard] coming in and starting. I think she dominated, so it made our lives a lot easier. We had a little slow start on the offensive side, but proud of us staying in the game and coming up with still the run rule in the fifth. Super proud of both sides."
