Dilek Moves on to Qualifying in ITA All-American Championships

Cary, N.C. — Deniz Dilek secured two wins on the day over North Carolina's Mary Grace Rennard 6-3, 6-2 and TCU's Raquel Caballero Chica 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(3) to secure her spot in the qualifying singles round.

Three Dawgs will compete in ITA All-American qualifying matches Monday, Sept. 22. First, Dilek will match up against Pepperdine's No. 97 Alexia Harmon in her first round of singles qualifying at 9 a.m. Additionally, Georgia's No. 110 Patricija Paukstyte will compete in her first match of ITA All-Americans up against Stanford's No. 58 Caroline Driscoll at 11:30 a.m. Lastly, No. 100 Sofia Rojas will face Notre Dame's Sophia Holod at noon.

- The All-American Championships also serve as a qualifying event for the NCAA Doubles and Singles Championships.
- Ten singles players (eight main draw quarterfinalists and two consolation finalists) and four doubles teams will earn spots through this tournament.
- Pre-qualifying action will finish up Sept. 21 followed by qualifying from Sept. 22-23 and lastly, the main draw will run from Sept. 24-28.
