Georgia Dominates in Singles on Final Day of Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL N.C. —Georgia women's tennis wrapped up competition at the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Sunday led by junior Aysegul Mert, senior Sofia Rojas, and freshman Patricija Paukstyte, adding a ranked win each for the Dawgs.

Fast Facts:

No. 28 Mert tallied three ranked wins on the weekend defeating North Carolina's No. 29 Ange Oby Kajuru in a quick two-setter 6-2, 6-2.
No. 100 Rojas registered her second ranked win of the weekend defeating North Carolina's No. 12 Theadora Rabman 6-0, 6-2.
No. 110 Paukstyte continued with this momentum grabbing her first ranked victory in her career as a Bulldog over North Carolina's No.124 Claire Hill 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Deniz Dilek clocked her third singles win of the weekend with a three-setter victory, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, against North Carolina's Alanis Hamilton.
Freshman Emma Dong defeated North Carolina's Mary Grace Rennard, 6-1, 6-3.
In the doubles session, the Bulldogs pair Dilek and Paukstyte took down the Tarheels duo Kajuru and Rennard, 6-2.
