Olree Shatters 10,000m School Record At Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. --- A school record fell for the second-straight weekend at the hands of the Georgia track & field team as Ryan Olree shattered the program's 10,000-meter run record at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday.

- Olree crossed the finish line in 28:38.98 to topple the 18-year-old school record set by Ian Burrell in 2007 (28:48.78). The sophomore ended the night in 24th to highlight Georgia's day in Raleigh.
- Conner Rutherford also shook up the record books in the 10,000m, becoming the third-fastest performer in school history with his time of 29:05.30. Rutherford finished 56th in the event while making his outdoor season debut.
- In his collegiate outdoor debut, Joseph Minecci clocked a 3:48.97 in the 1,500-meter run to finish 73rd.
