ATHENS, Ga. — The Georgia Bulldogs fell to second-ranked South Carolina, 74-42, on Thursday evening at Stegeman Coliseum.

  • Georgia held South Carolina to 74 points, keeping the Gamecocks below their season average of 81.4 points per game. 
  • Despite Thursday's loss, the Lady Bulldogs lead the overall series against the Gamecocks, 33-26, which includes a 15-9 record in Athens.
  • After missing five games earlier in January, Roxane Makolo added nine points, her highest scoring performance since Dec. 1, when she scored 14 against Hampton.
  • Asia Avinger started Georgia off in the third quarter 3-of-3 shooting. She finished the game with nine points and four rebounds.
  • Mia Woolfolk led the Bulldogs in rebounding with seven boards. The freshman also added nine points in the loss.
