ATHENS, Ga. — In a game dominated by defense from both sides, the Georgia Lady Bulldogs fell to No. 1 Texas, 57-26, on Monday evening at Stegeman Coliseum.

De'Mauri Flournoy led Georgia in scoring with nine points, which included a 4-of-8 shooting performance from the field.
Coming off the bench in Monday's game, Trinity Turner finished the game with five points.
Asia Avinger and Fatima Diakhate each added four points in the loss. Diakhate also grabbed five boards.
Monday's matchup against Texas was the Lady Bulldogs' fourth top-10 opponent in the last five games and their seventh ranked matchup of the season.
The contest marked the first matchup between the Lady Bulldogs and the Longhorns since Texas made the move to the SEC. Their last meeting came on Dec. 13, 2017, when Texas defeated Georgia, 81-53.
The Lady Bulldogs shot 41.7% from the field in the second quarter, outscoring Texas 11-9.
The Georgia defense held Texas to its second-lowest scoring performance in a half this season, the lowest being 19 against LSU.
Georgia allowed Texas only 57 points in the game, the Longhorns' lowest in SEC play this season.
Despite the loss, Georgia leads the overall series against Texas, 5-4.
