Bulldogs in the NFL Week Nine

November 04, 2025 | Football

ATHENS, Ga. – Week nine of NFL action is complete, and several former Bulldogs had exceptional performances for their respective teams.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers made his return from injury this weekend and made an instant impact. Bowers caught 12 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns, which marked the first multi-touchdown performance of his career. In addition to his career day, Bowers also made history once again as he became the first tight end since Rob Gronkoski in 2014, to have at least 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns in a game. Bowers also extended his streak of games with at least two receptions or more to 22 consecutive games, breaking the NFL record for a tight end to start a career. Lastly, Bowers reached 1,500 career receiving yards faster than any tight end since the NFL merger in 1970 with his performance on Sunday.

Meanwhile, rookie linebacker Jalon Walker also made an impact in his first game back from injury against the New England Patriots. Walker recorded five tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass defended, and a forced fumble. The performance marked a couple of firsts for Walker in his young career, as it was his first multi-sack game, and first forced fumble in his career.
