Stockton Named To Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 5

ATHENS, Ga. --- Bulldog redshirt junior QB Gunner Stockton has been included on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 5.
The other quarterbacks included in the Top 5 are Indiana's Fernando Mendoza, Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia, Texas A&M's Marcel Reed and Georgia Tech's Haynes King. The Golden Arm Award winner will be named in the coming weeks. The award will be presented in Baltimore, Md., on Dec. 12.
Stockton, a native of Tiger, Ga., has led No. 4 Georgia to a 9-1 mark, including 7-1 in Southeastern Conference. He has posted a Total QB Rating of 94 and 3-1 mark against the current College Football Playoff Top 25. Stockton is the SEC leader in Passing Efficiency (160.99) and Total TDs (23) against league competition. He owns a 70.7 Completion Percentage (203-for-287) this season, passing for 2,269 yards with 19 TDs and just three picks plus eight rushing TDs.
The No. 4 Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1 SEC) will play host to Charlotte (1-9, 0-7 American Conference) Saturday. SEC Network will televise the matchup at 12:45 p.m. on Dooley Field in Sanford Stadium.
