November 19, 2025 | Volleyball

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Georgia junior outside hitter Bianna Muoneke has been named to the 2025 All-SEC First Team, the league announced Wednesday.

"Bianna has had an amazing year, and it's no surprise to anyone who gets to see the way she works day in and day out," Georgia head coach Tom Black said. "Her growth from one year to the next has been incredible, and she competes with everything she has every day. She is absolutely one of the league's top outsides, and we are beyond proud of her."

This is Muoneke's first All-SEC Team honor of her career. She was a member of the 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team in her rookie season at Texas A&M.

Muoneke finished the regular season ranked ninth in the SEC with 4.02 kills per set. She's recorded a .289 hitting percentage on the outside and put up 2.25 digs per set. This season, she's recorded nine double-doubles, three 20-plus kill matches, and 22 double-digit kill performances with nine double-digit dig matches. Muoneke was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1.

The Cypress, Texas native has also been a star in the classroom in her career. Muoneke will graduate in December with her degree in Sociology (minor in Public Health), which she completed in three years. She'll pursue her Master's in Public Health beginning in the Spring. She was a Presidential Scholar (with a 4.0 GPA) in Spring 2024 and has appeared on the Dean's List, Director of Athletics Honor Roll, and SEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times.

The Bulldogs open play at the 2025 Allstate SEC Volleyball Tournament on Saturday in Savannah. Georgia will face the winner of Friday's first round matchup between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The match will stream live on SEC Network+.

2025 All-SEC Awards
Eva Hudson of Kentucky was selected the Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year. Maya Sands of Missouri was named the Libero of the Year for the third consecutive season. Kassie O'Brien of Kentucky was tabbed the Freshman of the Year, and Jackie Moore of Vanderbilt was voted the Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Kentucky head coach Craig Skinner earned his seventh Coach of the Year award.

The All-SEC First Team consists of 16 student-athletes, followed by the All-SEC Second Team with nine representatives and the All-Freshman Team with eight. All awards were chosen by the league's head coaches, and no ties were broken.
