Georgia Defeats Troy, 81-65, In Preseason Exhibition

ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia Bulldogs defeated Troy, 81-65, in a preseason exhibition at Stegeman Coliseum on Sunday. Sophomore Kanon Catchings led the Bulldogs with 15 points.

• Catchings led the Bulldogs with eight rebounds, with Dylan James following closely behind with six.
• Four Bulldogs reached double figures in the scoring column. Following Catchings were Jeremiah Wilkinson with 13 points and Justin Bailey and Blue Cain, both with 11.

"That's what you see every day with Kanon. He's a developing player on the glass and playmaking for others and defending. He's blocking shots and impacting the game positively in other ways than making jump shots and attacking the rim. I would put it in that category as well, drawing fouls and putting pressure on the paint. He's a really gifted, effortless shot-maker. He can rise up above you and shoot it as if it's not contested because he's 6'9", plus he's got a really high quick release."
