McAlpine Announces Addition of Two Transfers

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia soccer team bolstered its roster with the addition of two transfer student-athletes for the 2025 season, as announced by head coach Keidane McAlpine Tuesday afternoon.
Rising senior forward Sage Glover and rising senior midfielder Juliauna Hayward have joined the Bulldogs beginning with the spring exhibition season. The duo joins graduate transfer Laila Booker and incoming freshmen Hailey Gordon, Ayda Pannell, and Mya Townes for the spring and impending fall seasons.

Glover joins Georgia after three seasons at LSU, where she appeared in 61 matches with 33 starts for the Tigers. During her career in Baton Rouge, she scored 10 goals and assisted on one while tallying 52 shots with 29 on frame. In her 2024 junior season, she scored against Utah and UC Davis and assisted on a score against South Alabama. During the 2023 season, she was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 21 after scoring back-to-back winners, including one at Georgia. She was also named SEC Freshman of the Week during the 2022 season. She played for multiple club teams during her prep career, helping Concorde Fire Platinum ECNL win the 2022 ECNL national championship. She was also a team captain for the PDA South ECNL regional teams in 2017 and 2018. For North Atlanta High School, she played soccer and took third place at the Georgia state track championships in the 4x400m relay.

Hayward joins Georgia after three seasons at Colorado, where she appeared in 55 matches with 52 starts for the Buffaloes. During her career in Boulder, she scored four goals and assisted on seven others while tallying 102 shots with 39 on frame. In her 2024 junior season, she scored once against Michigan and assisted on scores against NCAA champion North Carolina and Weber State. For her performance, she was named to the Second Team All-Big 12. She was previously named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region Third Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team for racking up two goals and four assists during her freshman season. Prior to Colorado, she played for Real Colorado, where she ranked the No. 2 midfielder in the country in the IMG Academy 150 and was the highest-ranked recruit in the Rocky Mountain region. She also won a 2018 Concacaf U15 championship with the United States U15 Girls National Team.
