
Georgia Ties Kentucky, 1-1, on White’s Late Equalizer

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Despite only tallying three shots on goal, a late equalizer from graduate forward Hannah White and six saves from junior goalkeeper Jordan Brown powered the University of Georgia soccer team to a 1-1 tie at Kentucky before 469 spectators Thursday evening at the Vickie and Wendell Bell Soccer Complex.

- Georgia (5-3-3, 1-1-1 SEC) picked up a valuable SEC road point as White scored in the 80th minute to knot the score. White played a long ball from fellow grad forward Margie Detrizio before switching feet and scoring up top from 12 yards out. The score was White's third goal of the season and Detrizio's second assist this year.
- White's goal was one of only three shots on frame for the Bulldogs on the evening, the fewest for Georgia in a result since posting three in last year's SEC Championship victory over Arkansas. Kentucky (8-1-2, 0-1-2 SEC) outshot Georgia by a 17-9 margin, including a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Wildcats also earned 10 corner kicks against the Bulldogs' eight.
- Detrizio led Georgia with three shots, while White racked up two. Five Bulldogs played a full 90 minutes, including a new career high for Bluegrass State native Summer Denigan.
- Brown continued her outstanding season with six saves, her seventh match of the season with at least five stops.
- The Wildcats scored their lone goal of the match in the 21st minute as Makala Woods snuck behind the Bulldog defense to put away a ball initially deflected by Brown. Tonight's match was the first this season in which Georgia earned a result after conceding the first goal.
- With tonight's victory, Georgia extended its unbeaten streak against Kentucky to seven consecutive contests. Additionally, the Bulldogs improved to 10-2-5 against SEC opponents in road/neutral matches under Keidane McAlpine.
