Three Bulldogs Open Play at ITA All-Americans

Cary, N.C. — Three Bulldogs opened play for the Georgia women's tennis team in the ITA All-American qualifying rounds, as Guillermina Grant earned a singles round of 64 victory at the Cary Tennis Park on Monday.

#75 Guillermina Grant picked up the lone win of the day for the Bulldogs, knocking off Kentucky's Zoe Hammond 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets in the singles qualifying round of 64.
Sofia Rojas produced two hard-fought sets against Stanford's #64 Alexis Blokhina, keeping each set within two games before ultimately falling 6-4, 7-5.
Despite losing the first set 6-4, #94 Aysegul Mert came back in the second set at 6-3 to send the match to a final set, but fell to Oklahoma's #118 Chloe Noel 6-4, 3-6, 6-1.
